Retrieving Processing Data
Copy the Data from the R3 Pro USB and from your base station to your local machine.
Base station data needs to be RINEX 3.03 format
When dealing with RINEX 3.03, in many applications, the most commonly used files are:
- Observation Files:
- File Extension: .23o (for the year 2023)
- Content: Contains measurements made by satellite receivers, like pseudoranges, carrier phases, Doppler values, and signal strengths.
- Navigation Files:
- File Extension: .23n (for the year 2023 and specifically for GPS data)
- Content: Provides the satellite's orbit parameters and clock data, which are crucial for positioning calculations.
So, if you're working with GNSS data from the year 2023, you might come across files named something like datafile.23o
for observation data and datafile.23n
for GPS navigation data. These are the two primary files you'd focus on for most standard GNSS data processing tasks.
