Navigating & Analyzing Your Data in ROCK Cloud


Understanding the Interface at a Glance:

  • Left Hand Bar: This is the bar used for creating your project. It's were you can upload you relevant project data and order/view/download deliverables. You'll also find options for data export in this bar.

  • ROCK Cloud Visualizer: This center screen is where your point clouds are displayed. You can switch between 2D (map) and 3D (point cloud) views, which allows you to explore your data from different perspectives.

  • Toolbar: The tool bars on the right hand side of the visualizer screen is a central element for interacting with your data. Here, you'll find options for the tools below, among other features:

    • Edit Points: Classify and delete points
    • Stock Pile Analysis: Define and calculate volumetric measurements of piles in your project
    • Measurement: Calculate the area of interest in your project, define areas for enhanced processing and add point. You can also measure distances, heights and profiles.
    • Navigate: Make point cloud translations, use a compass and create animations of your point cloud among other features.
    • Annotate: Create and save annotations you wish to make for yourself or others on your project.
    • Layers: Change the materials to view your point cloud in RGB, elevation, GPS time, etc. Toggle classifications on and off for different views of your point cloud.
    • Quick Tools: Auto-align your data to your GCPs or show water pooling predictions for your dataset
    • Change View: Adjust your ROCK Cloud visualizer settings and performance
    • Share View: share your project internally or with clients
    • Save: lock in your project measurements, adjustments and annotations by clicking this save button. Save frequently!
